Junior Expert – Business Development and Scientific Communication (all genders)

As part of the Business Development team for our Research Division Intelligent Wireless Systems, you will drive and support a broad range of activities — from customer and partner engagement to contributing to SAL's visibility on a national and international stage. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations, bring ideas to the table, and help shape how SAL positions itself in the market. This role is designed to grow with you — offering increasing responsibility as you build your expertise and make your mark. 

Your future tasks include:

  • Independent execution of assigned communication tasks with growing autonomy
  • Responsible for communication and dissemination of results for European and National projects 
  • Creating presentations and materials for customer acquisition
  • Support Business Development activities, develop and upkeep Division Customer Database
  • Acting as a scientific communication partner for all research unit heads
  • Acting as a representative for SALs internal Doctoral College and support all administrative processes involved  
  • Co-Representing SAL and the division at fairs, conferences, and industry events
  • Contributing to internal and external visibility (social media, networking, events, vendor management)
  • Volunteering for cross-functional roles (e.g. buddy programmes, auditors, first aid) 

Your profile:

  • Bachlor's degree in business development, engineering, economics or similar is preferred
  • First experience in business development, communication and marketing, or a related field
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Service orientation and hands-on mentality 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Solution-oriented, structured, and independent way of working 
  • Strong team player with decision-making ability 
  • Fluency in German and English

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group D. We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications. For this position, your minimum monthly salary starts with EUR 3.328,- paid 14 times a year.
